Ikions icons are free to use in personal and commercial projects under the Ikions License. Ikions is not open source: the icons are free to use, while the website, tooling and source code remain proprietary.

This page summarises the license in plain language. The license text below is what applies.

What you can do#


Personal use	Yes.
Commercial use	Yes, including products, client work, apps, websites, print and merchandise.
Modification	Yes. Recolour, resize, combine or adapt any icon.
Attribution	Not required. A credit link is appreciated.
Ship icons inside your project	Yes, bundled in your app, site, template or product.

What is not allowed#

Selling or sharing the icons on their own or as a set (icon packs, icon fonts, libraries, design kits), free or paid, modified or not.
Using the icons to build a competing icon library or icon service.
Claiming the icons as your own original artwork.

Packages#

The Ikions packages (@ikions/icons, @ikions/react, @ikions/vue, @ikions/svelte, @ikions/metadata) include the license text and may be used in your projects under the same terms.

Trademark#

The license covers the icons. It does not grant rights to the Ikions name, the Ikions logo or the brand mark. You may say your product “uses Ikions icons”, but do not use the name or logo in a way that suggests your product is made or endorsed by Ikions, and do not publish a modified icon set under the Ikions name.

Third-party marks on this website#

The website shows the logos of the frameworks Ikions works with, only to indicate compatibility. They are not part of the Ikions icon set or packages and are not covered by the Ikions License. Logo shapes come from Simple Icons.

Every published icon is drawn originally for Ikions following its design principles. None is copied, traced or adapted from another icon set.

"Icons" means the Ikions icon artwork in any format (SVG, PNG, sprites,
components and the data that describes their shapes). "Packages" means the
published Ikions packages that deliver the Icons.

1. Free use. You are granted a free, worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual,
   royalty-free license to use, copy, modify and incorporate the Icons and
   Packages in personal and commercial projects, including websites,
   applications, software, products, documents, presentations, print and
   merchandise, and to distribute them as part of those projects.

2. No attribution required. Credit is appreciated but not required.

3. Restrictions. You may not:
   a. sell, sublicense or redistribute the Icons on their own or as a
      collection (for example an icon set, icon font, icon library, design
      kit or asset pack), whether free or paid, modified or unmodified,
      except as an incidental part of a project described in section 1;
   b. use the Icons to create or offer a competing icon library, icon
      search, icon download or icon generation product or service;
   c. claim the Icons as your own original artwork.

4. Source code. The Ikions website, tooling and source code are proprietary.
   Apart from using the Packages in your projects as described above, no
   rights are granted to them.

5. Trademark. This license does not grant rights to the Ikions name, logo or
   brand mark. You may say your product "uses Ikions icons", but may not
   suggest that it is made or endorsed by Ikions.

6. No warranty. THE ICONS AND PACKAGES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY
   OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHOR BE LIABLE FOR
   ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR OTHER LIABILITY ARISING FROM, OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION
   WITH THE ICONS, THE PACKAGES OR THEIR USE.
